Autocross:
Florida Corvette Racing Club - regularly for years - Brooksville Airport, FL

Finally getting some track time this year:
NASA HPDE @ Sebring 10/2
NASA HPDE @ Road Atlanta 12/3-4

Yeah, I'll be the new guy out there.

And I'm wearing the shirt, but not reppin' with the car yet. I've had too many other things that needed doing before slapping the turbo on the car.

Another plus for THSCC is that it's not uncommon to get Chuck Hawks as a classroom instructor. He also does training for F1 and NASCAR drivers and he is very good at explaining exactly why you're instructors are telling you to do certain things and drive certain ways. He's also a common instructor at Asphalt Ventures events.

I watched this race live. GREAT race for top four spots in H1, especially towards the end there. Had no idea it was you driving, very cool

PAHA & SCCA Hillclimbs - SSM class
-Weatherly & Polish Mountain last season, planning on attending all 8 races next season

SCCA Track Trials - SSM class
-BeaveRun & Summit Point last season, no idea about next season.

The car is competitive in our current SSM field (2 wins last season), but that's only because no one has bothered to show up in anything crazy (ZR1?)

Ohh, and I do some SCCA autox too, but that's just for testing/fun. I have a 370z that is much more competitive for the parking lot racing.

>$8000 affords me,

Non competitive track (circle track, small road course) and drift events. Grassroots challenges.

Spectate the hell out of Scca and Nasa events because its 'free'.

less than $8,000? huh? is that your yearly income, or....
i hope that's not your track budget. i do a season of nasa and various other trackdays for about half that including a set of tires and brake pads, and about 6-7 oil changes.

Hmmm, im interested. My alternative was SCCA. Havent done anything with nasa yet.

I'm definitely going to look into it!

You know, I want to run with SCCA... I haven't done that yet, but to be honest they don't seem to do as much HPDE as other clubs and thats discouraging/disappointing. Its mostly racing or autocross, and then 1-2 HPDE/PDX (I think thats what they call it) testing sessions per year.

I will be going to the ncrscca club's VIR PDX next year if they decide to do it at VIR.

^ Yeah thats kinda my problem with them two. cmp is my closest track. and I went to both the pdx events they put on this year at cmp. Really not that many. I am going to try to make it to vir next year when they do the pdx up there, the awesome thing is that they are really looking upbeat about doing the pdx at vir again. When was thscc running? I doubt I would be able to make it to the one in october... unfortunately.

THSCC Is the 15th-16th and NASA is 22nd-23rd. Try to make it out to THSCC, I can give you a $25 discount (obviously don't sign up for membership as it ends in December and to be fair, I will also get a $50 discount by referring you), which should make the price pretty damn close the NASA (which requires you sign up for membership at $45).

Either way, I am not doing it for the money, but I would be reallllly disappointed if they cancelled CMP over participation numbers.

Which NASA region are you guys in? PCA is a great alternative out here, plus you get to whoop up on some fancy P-cars I'd recommend Trackdaze and MazdaDrivers also, but I think they're primarily East Coast (although Trackdaze has strayed as far west as Autobahn in Joliet, IL).
