reminiscing about old time racing
Working to get prepped for the first raceday of the season. Overboosting, so I spent time downloading recalbration info on speedhut gauges. Wideband error code e-8, so purchased a new sensor and downloaded new firmware, then went thru recalibration sequence. New ecu still not on line. An hour and 45 mins and I still cant update to latest firmware or get it to recognise my serial ports. Server down, so no getting it done tonight. Showing up trackside, but don't know if It'll run. ...Now back in the day I'd show up to a race with a screwdriver, a jet set and a distributor wrench... I'd spend my hour and 45 banging the girl in the Revcon trailer next to my paddock. While I get it that hcars are "better" now, I gotta wonder... "What's wrong with this picture"?
you don't know what you're doing?
...but in all seriousness, it happens to some/most/all? of us at one point or another. you either keep going and if it doesn't kill you it will make you stronger......or give up wrenching on cars. just buy a horse
