I cut mine out to make room for the intercooler.
It will be getting replaced with DOM.

He's not kidding. I've seen it on his car. With the stock cross brace removed there is a lot of usable volume in front of the radiator. Though I do not really need the space I am still tempted to do it myself.

Nah, I need to remove the stoopid Gas lifter which keeps bending the hinge.
I put one on that I still had hanging round from my dub days, but its a bit too powerful.

I built a tubular front section for the car to support all the coolers and front aero, boxed the rail back in with 1/4" plate and replaced that particular beam with a 1.5" chromoly tube

edit: you won't be saving any weight though, even i was suprised when i cut it all out, it weighed VERY LITTLE.
