I used Sprint V seats in my Racecar and I love them. They are on the heavy side being a steel frame seat, but they are also supension style seats where you are suspended via webbing and the seat will help absorb some vibrations. I noticed a HUGE difference going from a standard fiberglass back Sparco seat sitting on just foam and the Sprint V seats at Sebring especially. I feel less fatigued and beat up at the end of the day as I am not getting pounded by the seat.
I have a sparco pro 2000 II shotgun in my car. good dated FIA seat for passengers/instructors. the passenger side of a miata is much wider than the driver side. it just took a small amount of hammering to get it in.
The Pro 2000II is good for people under 6'2" and under 250lbs. now that i have my licence i'm either going to run without a seat or throw a kirkey in there for street duty. my days of having instructors ride shotgun are over.
