I think the 1.6l Extreme with a 4 puck unsprung on a Fidanza that I’m running is just under 20 lbs. but I think the mass in the 949 twin is closer to the center so the MOI difference is more than a mass comparison would suggest.

Just as an update. We bled the clutch again, repositioned the pedal a little and it got much better. I then promptly parked the car because there is too much oil coming through the turbo and I haven't had a chance to fix it / investigate. The 1 day I drove on it after the adjustments was much better. I started getting the hang on it pretty easy. I can see how it's possible to street drive it, but like Bob was saying, it's crazy loud.

Take off your entire exhaust system - it makes the clutch much quieter

AWR engine mounts with the race bushings are one way to make everything go quiet (or rattle away). With a background noise like being at the dentist, rattle from the clutch will not be a thing you'll notice.

I had MMR Delrin mounts for a little while - I got tired of tightening down major bolts, like the PPF/differential bolts and the subframe nuts. Switched back to Comp mounts and all that went away.

Wouldn't it be great if there were magnetorheological engine mounts for the Miata? Soften up while you're idling about, and then firm up when you romp on it.

I have heard evos that sound like they have parts failing when they push the clutch in. All twin disks rattle a bit when disengaged but some are much louder then others.
