Although I'm sure there is someone out there with a regular APR wing that would trade you. Didn't someone post in here if the endplates are available to buy? Why not PM him?

They are both made by APR. Is that an early picture of Matt Andrews car?

 

My wing shown in that picture was not a miata specific wing. It was the Universal fit GTC 200. It came with two optional widths for the risers pre drilled The wider ones worked perfectly In my opinion. Simple L brackets slipped in the body gap between the trunk lid and the fenders mount the wing to the fenders. No visible holes in body panels are required and it is much more solid than mounting to the trunk lid.

The fact that I have double risers makes the trunk lid open far enough that the trunk is still functional. The base uprights are also not the same as the Miata specific ones. I think if you compare mine without risers to the miata specific setup without risers mine is about an inch lower. So my double riser setup is really only about only 1.5” taller than a single riser with the miata specific parts.

Yes. Now that car lives in a garage at Miller.

 

Sold out the first batch and the price went up. Next batch due here in about 6 weeks. The end plate will change to a more aero shape instead of the square block.

 

SuperMiata wings are back in stock. Just 4 available as we need the other two for our cars. We have switched to the "Evo" carbon side plate with a slightly different shape, same surface area as the original square plate.

 

Are these Supermiata wings still being made or were they discontinued?

 

The special FRP GTC-200 made for us is no longer offered by APR. They simply couldn't make them for any less than the carbon one so we dropped the FRP.

We bought up the last few remaining GT-250 FRP foils. 2 left I think. After that they are all the more expensive full carbon versions too.
