I'm done with the heater core, how big of a hole should I drill in the remote thermostat?

I ended up drilling 2 extra 3/16" holes in my thermostat. I have deleted the heater with a 1/4" resistor in the return line to the water pump. Car seems to be working well.

Why not use your turbo's coolant as your "heater core"? Hopefully that's not post-thermostat sourced.
