Default Found something inside my TD04

At the moment assembling my engine, and today i mounted the exhaust manifold and turbo. I had to measure the two holes the actuator can is mounted to, so I stuck a thin metal piece in there, just to measure. When i got to the end of the one hole it was something inside the turbo.
It was gray, and when i touched it it sounded like thin thin paper or leaves.

Anyone ever experinced this? It`s supposed to be a new turbo.

(I am sorry for the bad english, i`m from norway!)

Either that or tumbling media or tapping residue. Blow it out or pick it out if it bothers you. Nothing to be concerned about.

The guy I bought my kit off packed the entire thing in packing peanuts with out taking the ends of the manifold, turbo or IC. I spend nearly as much time fishing out packing peanuts as I did installing the thing.

STBG, your english is fine, welcome to the forum. The packing peanut is pretty funny. It would seem that you are a fan of lightweight and fast cars... Elan?

When i bought my Nissan T25, it had a piece of foam shoved in the compressor outlet. You could barely see it and I took the compressor housing off to get it out, ended up being two pieces of it in there.
