hi, im trying to get my car running on speeduino but im only getting spark on one coil, ive checked voltage on the ecu and both coils are getting 4.5 volts. one fires and one doesn't. car runs great on stock ecu so my coils aren't fried. what could be the issue ?

 

Post tune, log, and details on your setup.

 

i just have the base tune all i did is change the engine size and injector size, it would be nice if you had a startup tune for a 1.8

 

I thought Speeduino's were only made for 1.6's?

 

Interested in this. I retired my speeduino after switching to ms3 mini.
Mine worked for a few days, then suddenly only fired on one channel, had to buy the ms3 to drive home, but I don't regret it.

stock 1.8 1997 miata has a S/C runs on stock ecu.

 

Turn off "new ignition mode" under spark settings, report back. I remember, that in earlier firmware it said "DO NOT turn this on, unless you know what you're doing".

Board layout is 100% correct? I mean, in TS?

 

yes i contacted the manufacturer about it and im using the board layout i was told to use , everything else works fine, fuel, rpm , tps , map , etc.

 

your dwell settings are off but the rest looks ok, I am running a speeduino UA4C on my 97 miata and its working good so far. This is what i use for dwell

 

i sometimes get spark on the other coil but mostly it just gets warm.

 

Do you figure out what was wrong?
I recently bought a RM racing eletronics PnP ecu for my bmw e34 and I only get 3 cylinders with spark, the other 3 have no spark, changed to stock ecu, everything works fine
