I just got a MS3 pro PNP for my 2001 miata and I am starting to tune it. I loaded the base map and set my timing to 10 degrees with a timing light. My car has an intake and exhaust, but besides that it is stock. AFR is around 11.2 and wont really change much, idk why. Now the problems: 1) Once I set the timing, the red "VVT ERROR" light showed up on my laptop. 2) the car accelerates smooth until 50% throttle where the car violently jerks forward. This only happens at 50% throttle, the car is smooth before and after. The higher the rpm, the less this problem is noticeable. I will post my tune shortly, still new to the tuning scene.

 

Still having the problem, I am planning on adding a wideband o2 sensor so I can get a more accurate AFR and see if im running too little fuel. Part is going in this winter when I get back from school. If you have any ideas of what could be wrong let me know!
