Default T3 turbo recommendations?

Hi All
Im planning my first Turbo build. The availability of cheap cast manifolds with a T3 flange has me interested in T3 turbos. Reading around online, there's lots of good recommendations for good t25 turbos, but I cant seem to find recommendations for a good T3 turbo. Am i totally barking up the wrong tree? Do I need to just pay up for a proper t25 manifold? I see videos of people with t3 setups
For power goals, I have been in a friends 1.6 on a TD04 setup that dyno'd at about 240hp on stock internals, looking to build something similar for myself.

There is a GTX3067R made by Pulsar, this is the biggest I would run on a Miata, if I'm not just racing in a straight line. Maxed out they put out 450whp.
On a 1.8 VVT that thing will spoolup somewhere around 3500-3800rpm and bend your rods right there

If you are on a stock engine, just go with a small T25 turbo, it will be more fun and your **** stays together, when you have a good tuner.

T3's are pretty much always external gate, so you won't save a penny, if you have to buy a 300 dollar gate for your ebay cast manifold...

That's what you want for cheap, stock bottom end, t3 stuff.

If the manifold you're looking at has an external gate, You might as well get a t25 manifold because the cost of cheap turbo+ quality external gate will put you in good t25 internally gated turbo range.

Or just check out mkturbo.com for the Black Friday sale for a budget built system that goes together.

Also that CXRacing T3 is still not the best you can get, but I don't give out info on the special sauce turbo I use.

Yeah. The CX one isn't great but the better one is crazy expensive right now.

You buy a lot more turbos than probably anyone else here however, so you probably have the hook-up. MKTurbo is the easy button though.

That one is super possibly the correct one, unfortunately the vendor has not had any in stock for nearly 2 years now, hence why the price is so high. It is just there to hold the listing until they get more in, and they have never been able to tell me if they will or won''t get more.
