Our new wheel studs are made of SCM440 CrMo. About 145,000psi tensile strength compared to about 105,00 for the OEM 10.9 studs. The threaded section is about 10mm longer than OEM plus another 15mm for the bullet nose section. A total of about 25mm longer than OEM. Our studs feature a cross thread resistant bullet nose.
Regarding the anti-cross thread nose, if you push hard off axis and force it on with an impact gun, it will chew the first two threads on an alloy lug then self center, thread on and still hold torque. Stud remains undamaged. So unless you force a steel lug off axis with an impact gun intentionally, you basically can't cross thread these.
