Forgive me if this has already been asked or brought up, I couldn't find it by doing a search. Anyway...Will this ebay downpipe work as a direct bolt on to the greddy kit? I looks to me like it would be...but I have never really understood what TD04-15G meant and what a T3/T4 meant. From what I understand a it has to do w/ the flange and how much air the turbo can move.

The t3/t4 and the td04 are two different turbos

 

TD04-15G is a Mitsubishi turbo used in the Eclipse and Talon and many other vehicles. It's easy to find. A T3/T4 is a Honeywell/Garrett or Air research amoung others. Listed that way "T3/T4" is usually a T3 turbine with a T4 compressor aka. "Hybrid" turbo. All those numbers like that could be considered model numbers for turbos. Normally pre-fab downpipes like that fit a special application. That one, for example, is for a TD04-15G on the manifold shown in the picture. It's unlikely it'll fit anything else but there's always the chance it will. It WON'T fit a T3 or T4 that's for sure.

 

Who knows about any fitment issues? Ive read that ebay stuff like this has fitment issues but i cant say from exp.

 

so our turbo on the greddy kit is the TD04-15G...it isn't the same as the one in the eclipse and talons though right? And would that downpipe on ebay work on the greddy kit? The TD04-15G flange is similiar to a T25 flange, but the shape is different...right?

 

Greddy tdo4 15g It will not line up with a 16g period. Trust me i found that out when i bought my **** the first time, but it is all good like my 16g better.

 

The DSMs came with a 14B and it has a totally different turbine housing than the TD04-15G in the Greddy kit.

Near as I can tell the compressor and center section of the Greddy turbo is the same as an old turbo Volvo but the turbine housing is a proprietary Greddy unit that uses a T2 inlet flange and a totally oddball Greddy outlet that isn't found OEM on any vehicle.
