Default NA 1.6 AFR and spark map

I bought a 1.6 mx5 a while back and the guy before tried to tune it but messed it up immensely, the engine splutters and cuts out when you let off the throttle, most noticeably in second gear. Ive worked on the map to get it much better, but im wondering if anyone could poke some holes and help me out with these tables? Ive done these without a dyno so the spark map may well be pretty wrong, but id appreciate any feedback

This is obviously naturally aspirated, and it looks fine as long as AFRs match targets. It’s a little hard to read somce
you have a 8000 and 9000rpm column you’ll never use. That afr table has three 6500rpm columns too, which is weird. I’d change it to the same break points on both, every 500rpm is my default, with maybe a 7250 and 1200 column. Bit annoying you can’t delete unneeded columns.

ah thanks i didnt even notice, could that be messing with the map in any way and should i shift over the spark so it lines up with 42 at the redline?

No, I would target high 30s in cruise then start to taper down towards redline. There’s 4 areas in a typical table, idle, cruise, over run, and WOT. WOT starts around 75kpa, idle and over run are pretty obvious, but cruise depends on gearing and local speeds.

I’d expect fuel, afr, and ignition to all sort of have these areas. Your ignition table above doesn’t do that, but it’s still safe, just a bit messy.
