Default Injector Hotness in 2025? (ID1050X or .....)

Hi,

Looking for any advice on what the best injector option is in 2025. Fuel is E85, and track only. Searching around it looks like it was the ID1050x, which seems to have been replaced or updated (?) with the ID1050xds?

Also it looks like the ID1050x is available with a denso plug but the ID1050xds needs an adaptor?

Any other injectors I should be considering?

Cheers.

The xds are the ones you want. I'm not sure if it's standard with the XDS, but I've seen them with potted pigtails because the connectors interfered with the head. The ends of the pigtails accept factory plugs, so no other adapters required. Again, not sure if it's only XDS that comes with the potted pigtails. You can make the standard bosch plug fit, just requires some trimming of the connector plastic.

My XDS’ showed up in the mail today and have the pigtails you’re referring to, just as a data point. Ordered via Goodwin. Would have preferred to order Supermiata (same price and have learned a ton from them) but they appear to carry the version with connectors per their site description.

Thanks for the replies, helped to clarify what I need to look for.

Checking the Goodwin site they actually call out the potted pigtails (Cut and paste below). I assume other vendors will have the same once they turn their stock over, but I’ll reach out to confirm before ordering.

“Application Notes:

APRIL 2024 UPDATE: These injectors have been updated by Injector Dynamics and now have the wiring connectors for 90-05 Miatas permanently fused and potted on to the injector. Older version of this injector required a wiring adapter, but that is no longer necessary.”
