Default Fab9 turbo order?

Anyone buy a turbo from fab9? Getting a psr gtx2860r clone for my NA8 kraken top mount. Shipping was crazy with tariffs from psr so I looked elsewhere. Fab9 told me over email they have turbos in the states so no tariffs.

Coming up on two weeks, not shipped yet. I plan on doing the job over the winter so there's time to be had. Just makes me nervous, seeing/hearing some bad things about fab9 in the past. However, Greg peters seems to have used them with success so it can't be that bad right?

I found the Pulsar website confusing. I was seeing like $300+ tarrif/shipping costs, but I don't think that's what they actually charge you?

I got mine from Pulsar on Ebay and they usually have them listed for $615 + 25 or 75 shipping depending on where it's shipping from.

Back to the original question, I've never ordered from Fab9 but have heard some horror stories. I have to imagine they aren't terrible on every order, but they have a reputation.

Fwiw I had a small issue with the one I got from Ebay, went through Pulsar's warranty program and got an entire new CHRA, so I doubt that they're counterfeit. I think I just had to provide the order number. The seller is "Pulsar Turbo Systems" so I'm pretty sure it's just another storefront for Pulsar.

Ebay PSR2860

Ebay PSR2860

oh very nice, helpful anecdote, thank you. Maybe if this fab9 deal goes awry, I'll go through them.

If you message them on ebay they can also give you an idea of when/if they'll have some stateside and you can save ~$50 on shipping fees.

Hmm, I'll also add that I just ordered that exact turbo from Fab9 about a month ago. I luckily got an email that it shipped only a couple days after placing my order. I would definitely give them a call and see what they have to say. Years back I had a similar problem with an order for their vibrant intercooler. I called them and they gave me the run around of "oh yeah, it should ship out here tomorrow," a week later and it still never shipped. I try to avoid them when I can but I, too, was also was trying to circumvent $300+ tarrifs when ordering my turbo.

I got one directly from Pulsar USA. They had some models under stateside inventory so no additional tariff. Looking at the site now it looks like they don’t have any 2860’s left.

Oh boy, looks like I might be in for it. Hopefully by the end of next week I'll have something to show for.

I'm in Australia and bought the NC GT kit from Fab9 just a few months ago.
The kit came from the US, but the PSR2860 came direct from china.
I paid a heap of import duty on the US mail, but none from china .

Fab9 do make mistakes but they are responsive to emails and phone calls
