Default new anti PCV idea

So last week I took the vacuum line off my PCV and T'd it into the vacuum line that goes from the breather to the turbo inlet on my 99. The PCV used to vacuum line to the intake manifold, but I was pretty sure when my manifold pressure went to boost it was boosting my crankcase through the PCV. So now it can only go to vacuum, but now I also have oil mist / gases going into my turbo inlet. So I was thinking, (but before I do this I want opinions) about making a catch can idea. Both the PCV side and the breather side going to the catch can, but then having a vacuum line going to my turbo inlet from the catch can. Possibly with a baffle inside the can(to kind of deflect oil mist). The catch can will have a petcock or ball valve to drain the oil when needed. I figure the crankcase should always get vacuum, not just have a breather filter clamped onto my valve cover. But at the same time I don't want oil mist going back into my engine. What do you guys think of this idea?

So you basically want to create vacuum in the catch can.

pretty much...if I baffle or possibly filter the catch can somehow, do you think it will be possible to provide vacuum for the crankcase, but at the same time keep gases / oil mist from goin back into the engine?

Brilliant idea. Of course most of this has been discussed to end on this forum. AAMOF there's an active thread right now (but you knew that), and a group-ish buy on some high end check valves to replace the oe pcv. That way you get to keep that part of the system emissions proper. BTW- the vacuum at your intake/turbo inlet isn't going to be anything near what you'll get at the pcv location with the mani.

Why not just use the intake manifold like before but get a spring/ball check valve?

This way you get maximum vac and you dont coat your IC pipes in crap because the check valve will always be closed with a spring when out of vac.

I understand this...the most vacuum pressure comes off the intake manifold. But what about when the intake pressure goes to boost? Then there is no vacuum. The turbo inlet at least has vacuum all the time. Higher turbo outlet boost, higher turbo inlet vacuum, correct? I'd assume the lowest vacuum on turbo inlet would be at idle. I never hooked up a vacuum gauge to the turbo inlet, but what kind of inches of vacuum would you think this would see? I'm just assuming that anything 0 - boost on the crankcase is not good, so that's why I am goin with this "vacuum all the time" theory. Help figuring this out is greatly appreciated.

I doubt theres enough vac at the turbo inlet during boost to matter.
