MSM clutch for FM2?
I thought I'd embrace my
-ness and start a thread about this. I didn't find any really really great answers after a couple searches.
These three things all combine into the perfect time to possibly do a new clutch as well as the turbo. Any suggestions? I want something streetable. I don't plan to make crazy power. I'd not mind just keeping the MSM clutch, but now is the time to plan.
thanx!

- I currently have an MSM clutch in my tranny. It's strong and only about 5k miles old.
- I'm gonna install the turbo on an engine stand while I do a couple other things to that block. So the tranny will be in the corner...

From what I understand the MSM is the same recipe as the ACTs...a heavily sprung pressure plate with an organic street disc. This makes for a driveable combination, with slightly higher pedal pressure, but stock-like engagement.
I know a couple of MSM guys are at or over 230whp, and I believe they're on the stock clutch. Leatherface24 would be the one to talk to...

Im getting the FM1 Happy meal in a few weeks. Right now my stock clutch is starting to slip at the 253tq mark but not slipping horribly. Its should hold up fine for you Adam but Id still get the FM1 clutch as Brain is right that its a helluva deal
