Flat shifting is scary and so counter-intuitive. I sometimes have trouble getting into 3rd or 5th while flat-shifting.

I'm also finding that I can shift before the revs even drop to the preset RPM, am I trying to hard?

Glad to see another video of it!

nice matt. i just wired up my adaptronic to control idle over the weekend. it's doing the "hang high" thing--probably because I copied the settings from your map! haha

still have to figure that out. maybe launch ctrl too.

Matt,

Thanks and that whole hanging idle thing went away when I flashed the FW... kept the same map as before (this was that afternoon we met) and life was good.

I'll send you the map I have been working with... just for poo's and laughs.

Good to hear from ya and cheers,
Matt

Could you send me your map? I'm close to tuned power wise, but my idle is garbage

What inputs does flat shift require? I always thought mine was working, but it's not. If I keep it WOT during a shift, it just stays at my 7200 rpm rev limiter and not the flat shift limiter.

Yes please post up the map. Thanx

BTW: vid is nice but needs to be longer so we can enjoy moar of this awesomeness

I had my launch control set up for some time now, one thing I don't like about it is how lazy it is. When it hits cut it takes fairly long for the rpm to drop then jump back up. Is there any way to make this faster? I want something similar to a machine gun or antilag...like babababababaap instead of bap--bap--bap--bap

Are you cutting spark, spark and fuel, or just fuel. When I was cutting just spark it would be really bouncy. After I started cutting spark and fuel it got smoother.

I tried all 3. Each time it is still fairly slow when it bounces back. Maybe its because I have it set too low in the rpm range? I have it at 3600

I never realized how easy it was to set up launch control. Now I'm just afraid to use it.

I wouldn't sweat the instability of the RPM. Once you dump the clutch it wont matter anyway.

Yeah, launch control is super easy to get going... and it's really fun to use! The looks I get from people trying to play with me from a traffic light are priceless... they think the cute little yellow car will be eaten... then the launch control and flat shifting change their mind very, very quickly.

Now if only I can get her to shoot fireballs from the exhaust during launch control...it'll be priceless!

As for the MAP... when I am back in town with my ECU file on-hand... I'll post it. Right now I'm in Belarus till the end of May.

Cheers,
Matt

Pat,
Thanks for getting that up there... I am already overseas and don't have it handy. Hope that you all will share your adjustments with me or make it better somehow

Cheers,
Matt

I had a couple fireballs during flatshift. But my flatshift doesn't seem to be the flatshift rev limiter for some reason. Maybe my tach is off when I'm shifting.

Thanks for sharing the map.

Is this driveable?

I think what I mean to ask was; is this what a typical fuel map looks like? Mine is totally different with a setup that is somewhat similar.

I think you need to upgrade your WARI, the fuel map is for VE and yours is showing injection times.

Can someone post their logs while using flatshift? I still don't think mine is working. I've tried it over and over and my tach is just pinned in the red during shifts.

I could post a log, but all it shows is my revs dropping down to the next gear. Apparently I shift faster than the ecu can log. Maybe I'll go get another one today, because I'm not even sure which log has the flat shift in it. All you should need is a clutch switch for flat shifting to work
