Head first into a wall
**** me.
We went out longboarding tonight and met up with some dudes I found on this longboard forum. We are used to just big *** hills that we carve down, but tonight we ended up in unfamiliar territory at a parking garage.
We had like 6-7 runs that were solid. It wasn't crazy fast, but we were the fastest by far. The other guys have shorter boards and like to drift the corners (just like with cars, slowest way around the track lol), but we just bombed the **** out of it.
Last run of the night I took my camera to get some footage (not even really worth it) of everyone. Last corner I was going forwards but turned completely around to film the guys behind me sliding. I turned back to check where I was at (again, unfamiliar territory) and BOOM!! ******* 2 yellow parking posts right in front of me! I hit the left one with my right hip and then slammed head first into a concrete wall.
Son of a bitch I'm ******* hurting right now. My left wrist that I had surgery on feels fucked. My right arm and right hand are all torn up and bleeding. My left hip is so sore I can barely put pressure on my left leg. And the right side of my face feels like I just got rocked. WTF.
Next thing on my shopping list is a god damn helmet! ****! Tomorrow should be awesome. Just wanted to stay awake for awhile and share.

Thanks guys. I woke up this morning and was thankful for that right off the bat. lol
Last night I was worried about how hard I hit my head. I blacked out for a quick second right after impact. I must have been going 15 mph when I hit, maybe more.
My left hip is pretty fucked. I can hardly put pressure on it to walk. And my left wrist that I had surgery on 2 years ago is clicking and hurts pretty bad. And somehow I managed to slice up the side of my neck and collarbone area. That wall fucked me up hardcore. lol
Worst part of all this is I had the camera on when it happened. But when I went back to watch the footage, it stops like 1 floor above where I slammed into the wall. No idea if I did that by accident or if it just ran out of memory, seeing that I never delete footage off the thing.
As long as I didnt re-injure my wrist and my leg is usable in a couple days I'll be ok. No longboarding for a week or so for me I guess.

Reminds me of when I was a kid and my neighborhood was one steep hill and my friends driveway at the end of the street was like a 40ft+ 40% grade. We used to get on our skateboards and luge down the driveway (end of the driveway had one of those abrupt curbs...not a smooth transition onto the street)...and we often did it on our stomachs/face first down the hill. I'm sure we were going 30+ mph too. God we were stupid.

That's the part that sucked the most. I crashed due to the ******* footage, and 3/4 of the way down the garage the footage stops. So the part I was focusing on that made me crash doesn't even show up, let alone my awesome ending.
So now I just have a hurt unit to deal with for a couple days and I broke the hinge on the camera.
I still cant believe how hard I hit the ******* wall.
