Default Engine Boring

I need to bore my engine .020 ever to put in some wiseco pistons.
Anyone know a good machine shop in the Chicago area to do it?

Also any shops in the Chicago area that would dyno tune a parallel MS1?

I had my machine work done at a shop in libertyville IL. Had the block bored and cleaned, cost me around $280.

What was the name of the shop?
Did you assemble it yourself?

Talk to Ted at opel. That's where I had mine done. It's a little pricey, but they do really nice work. I could have ate off my motor when I got it back.

The local NMCA guy recommends them. If it's good enough for his 632 C.I. nitrous big block, it's good enough for me.

Hot tank, bore, hone, crank polish and final cleaning was $380 IIRC. It was a few years ago. I had the stuff back in 4 or 5 days.

APS was the name of the shop. Its also a carquest. I did my own assembly but they do offer that service as well. The head machinist there is the instructor at the local community college.

Jorge Carillo at P&L Motorsports is a great tuner. We flew him in to do Subaru tuning days here in MD. Megasquirt isn't listed on their website but I'm sure he can do it. They're a bit pricey though so depends on how much you want to spend.

Jorge is a great tuner, he can learn just about any system on the fly.
