I did some search about these, and to my understanding they only came as torsion setup and there were no open 3.9 carrier, is this correct ??

Also what's the going price for one in good condition in to day's market ?? Is $700 a good deal ??

 

IIRC all 3.9 were LSD and were only on the 99 AE, the 00 SE and 6spd cars from 01-03. All 6spd in 04 and 05 have 4.1 gears.

I'm trying to figure out if I should get this or save up for 3.6 ring and pinion and clutch type LSD since I already have the housing for it.

 

Do you have a 6 speed? If so, match the gearing to your hp. $700 seems expensive, but 3.90's seem to be rare.

 

Yes, I have a 6 speed. I'm doing my search to see if I should go with 3.6 or 3.9.
I'm still working on the build so no HP numbers yet. I already have a built long block and ems and collecting the small parts. But as soon as my turbo comes back in stock Abe is going to start my hot side.
