Default Air valve removal caused high idle rpm (ms pnp)

So, i removed the air valve :

And made a plate to block those holes:

Now the idle goes up to +2000rpm, so should i just adjust idle from megasquirt or have i done something wrong?

if you removed it, and did a bad job of sealing the holes, I'd expect it to idle that high if it wasnt previously.

But i see your probablem, you cut the hose to the PCV and have a huge vacuum leak.

Why did you remove the air valve in the first place? It does a nice job of allowing in extra air when cold and keeps the MS from having to work too hard in that region.

Agree with Brainey on the PCV hose. Can't really see where you've routed it, but if it's just open, that's a huge vacuum leak.

The pcv valve is the device you routed to that ugly aluminum can. The end where that hose once went appears to be open.

Along with a hose barb by the throttle body. Is that open as well?
