GT28R = GT2560R in their 'newer' naming scheme... and the GT28RS being the GT2860RS.

Stock block??? 2860RS would be better suited for 16-17psi

GT28 = journal GT2560
GT28R = GT2560R
GT28RS = GT2860RS

no, 2560r used to be called the 28r. 2860r has always been just that, im pretty sure.

Garrett GT2560R (aka GT28R) Ball Bearing Turbo : atpturbo.com

but anyways, who cares about dumb naming schemes... stock block? power goals?

Are people still putting turbos on stock-block Miatas? GT2560 because there's no since in living in the "bent-rod danger zone".

well it is stock bottom and can hopefully stay that way. i think 275whp would be the **** level for my miata. hoping i can do that without rod or tranny issues for years to come. and if the answer is yes then gt2560r or gt2860rs is the next question.

No, you can't do that on a stock rod.

The answer is no - long-term use at 275whp requires a built motor and a 6-speed tranny.
