About to buy a T28 with 50K miles. Does this look funny to anyone else?

 

Where are your turbine speeds supposed to be for target boost at redline accodring to compressor flow map?

 

that's not the correct housing for that wheel.

the edges of the blades should be right up against the housing:

 

YA! Looks like the wheel is missing some metal to me! Here is a picture of a new one. See how the vanes are really close to the housing(which is why shaft play is Baaaaad mk).

Id pass on that turbo personally unless you can get it for cheap and rebuild it.

 

Thats what I was thinking (that's not the correct housing for that wheel). I couldn't find a quailty pictre of a T28BB unit where the fins are clear enough to see the depth. It's a decent price, but don't want to have to rebuild it.
