I have done this on both 1.8 & 1.6L cars. It workes pretty well on the 1.6L car, the 1.8L car had terrible stalling issues until i recirculated the BOV.

Also, you will see that the *guts* of those check valves are screwed in on internal threads. I blew the guts out of my first one, makes for a nasty vacuum leak.

On my second, i unscrewed the guts, put some expoy on th threads, and put it back together. That one stayed together.
