2.0...ish, But for REAL this time.
84.5 mm wiseco 10:1 pistons
Manley H-beam rods
supertech springs, +1 valves
00 bp4w head, ported, polished, VICS intake ran by Rpm Switch
OE crank, Exhintake from 99' bp4w
ACL bearings
Boundry oil pump
Rx8 Yellow injectors
I think that @14 psi will get me the 275 wtq(on a mustang dyno @4600' elevation) carrot im chasing. (godspeed t3/t4, cast manifold, 2.5" turbo back, MSPNP2)

I think I confused the 84.5 as being the largest size they make instead of the 85.5. My post makes more sense with 85.5.
I'm not even going to take the time to pick apart the rest of the posts and how flawed your logic is.
I'm so bored with hearing " 3" will get you more power" to the point that I'm going to build one to show the "HUGE GAINS" that you don't get.
We have decades of collective experiences and knowledge to fall back on, and here you are about to change the world.
So go ahead and do it.
But here's the catch: DO IT, then talk crap and tell us all how wrong we were. Not vice versa.
I'm gonna hold my breath, I know you're good for it...........bro

I'm so bored with every n00b that comes here thinking they can re-invent the wheel cause they can build fast cars in their dreams.

re-quoting the awesome list that will make us all eat dirt

Earlier boost is nice, but did you actually gain power?

More boost at 3500rpm = more air at 3500rpm = more power at 3500rpm... you seem kind of stupid.
No idea if I make more power up top. I'm limited by rods.
If you don't care about spool run a giant turbo and make more power.

Then you listed a chinacharger, a log mani, and rx7 440's along with 2.5" exhaust.
Then you tried to mouth off to andrew when he pointed out how silly that was.
You just MIGHT have been able to do that on e85, running astronomical timing and as much boost as possible in the midrange. But 440's will top out at 200 on e85, and you're not getting there on pump gas with that mod list.
So yeah......
Hence the t3/t4. 3500 rpm is a long way from 7200. I guess I should have been specific in asking if you had a greater max hp/tq not limited to a low rpm application.
.........unless we're talking about diesels
I love how people with silly claims always challenge the opposing side to prove their statements.
Why don't you prove yours. Show me dyno plots back to back of a 300whp BP not losing power going from 3" to 2.5"
275wtq on a mustang dyno (assuming it's not calibrated to the moon) at 4600 elevation is serious power. It would have to make 316wtq on a dynojet, which means it will have to make at least that much power, usually 20 more.

less boost and still gained 10hp

OP- the idea that a 3" exhaust connected to a 2.5" turbine outlet is flawed. You're right that 2.5 is smaller. But if you run a 2.5" pipe all the way back, and measure the backpressure at the outlet of the turbine, and then do the same test with a 3" pipe all the way back, the 3" pipe will show less backpressure on the turbine. Less backpressure will mean a higher mass flow rate at a given boost level, thus more power and better spool. Sure going from a 3" to 8" exhaust won't make much difference for the reason you mentioned, but going from 2.5" to 3" is well-proven to be worth it.
