My issue is the noise I'm getting decelerating. At higher rpms going to zero throttle there is a noise. The best way I could describe it is it sounds something like a fender liner hitting a tire. Not as loud and undulating down to lower rpms. If you downshift no noise. No noise if you just push clutch in. The BOV is not popping then either. Could this be compressor surge? There's about 1k on the turbo. MK T-3 china turbo. Works fine otherwise, except for some small issues that I will deal with. Oddly this didn't start until shortly after I put under belly pan and fender liners on. Yes I made sure nothing was hitting.

I guess I deserved that, the way I described it. I'm also having running warm issues and the fender liners and under belly pan came off today to try and plug air gaps. Still making noise. As soon as it cools I'll check but I hope it's an exhaust pipe hitting and resonating.

 

Took turbo out to port wastegate. When I reinstalled it, no more noise. I still don't know what it was.
