Default CXR "Version 2" Downpipe / Turbo

Anyone have any experience with this kit (I know I am going to get flamed but thought it might not be total crap).

https://www.cxracing.com/turbo-kit/t...IATA16-WT-NOIC

I'm leaning towards a cast iron log manifold, so this is mostly just a rhetorical question. Guessing I will get a lot of "it's crap";"don't waste your money";"what the hell are you thinking!?!?"

You will. And then you'll still make the stupid decision anyway. lol

The haters will hate.

The haters will hate on the anti-haters hating the haters.

Just hatred all around.

Or for $625 more you can the same sort of parts, except with a turbo that fits, and a full exhaust shipped to your door.

More along the lines of we've only seen one person with it, so it's probably not that great even if it didn't fail. If it was great then we'd have more references besides "this one guy"

I will say, if it actually ships like it looks in the picutres than it's not the worst ebay turbo kits I've ever seen. Not that that's saying much.

Have you ever received a Big Mac that looked like it did in the commercials?

I'm pretty sure someone in CXR owns a miata, they seem to pump out a lot of stuff for them. Still IFFY on the quality.

It looks like they have their entire rear shelf cut out or something. That scares me a bit.

My shelf is cut out there also. FM log put turbo so far back it was easier to cut the shelf for the downpipe.

The choice is clear: buy questionable eBay product, deal with pain and suffering and regret. Then spend a bunch of time and or money trying to make it work when it doesn't. Then buy proven product. Or, buy an MK kit for the same money (including exhaust) and spend all that extra time and money on track days.

That just makes too much sense why would anyone do such a thing

They wouldn't. Some can't visualize burning a hand on a stove and still avoid touching it themselves.
