Launch control/flatshift wiring to mspnp2.
So I'm looking for info on some wiring to set up flatshift/ launch control. I haven't really heard just one straight answer... I've heard people use the flex port or the input 1 or 2 wondering what's the best. I have mspnp2 and a 94 Miata. I know to ground a switch to have capabilities of shutting these off and on. Also I've heard people saying to use the top clutch switch over the bottom switch. Is one better than the other? What color is the wire I need to tap into? A wireing schematic would be appreciated if possible thanks.

This says it should already be wired, just needs the jumper in the correct position. Pretty sure the input is called "launch". Flex, input 1 and input 2 are likely referring to a DIYPNP. You would use the top switch, the bottom switch is the starter disconnect. Google "94 miata wiring diagram" for a schematic.

The MSPNP is set from the factory to use the clutch switch as launch input. The current firmware refers to the port as launch input as well; 3.2.5 and earlier calls it the flex fuel input.
Since you mentioned it's the same as the flex fuel input, what would need to be done to run both launch control and e85? Would this be the same for a ms3pro pnp

Yeah I know but I want to have an external switch so I can shut launch control and flatshift when I want. I removed the jumper under the lid for launch. So now I'd connect the external switch to a ground to the top clutch switch and where would I hook it up to the ECU at?
Just put that switch inline with the clutch switch.
And doing that won't mess anything up with the clutch if I had the switch off driving around casual? I guess I wouldn't need to ground it either then. Just intercept the clutch switch in one spot extend the wires and put the switch in the middle?
Putting the switch inline means that launch control is activated by the clutch switch when the switch is closed and disengaged when the switch is open.
Also, keep in mind that the combination of foot on the clutch, open throttle, and engine being revved past the launch rev limiter isn't something you will encounter very often in normal driving.

Can't get Launch control to work, I've tried a ton of different things but I'm not getting anywhere. Launch control is wired to the "N" in the options plug and ran to the Clutch Switch and tied in (5v). In TunerStudio "Digital IN 2" is selected with the other settings made. What could I be missing?
