Default Turbo in, new problems! Help Needed

After much help from Curly (praying for you to come a drop your wisdom again) i was able to get the turbo in the miata, driving, and hitting boost! Here the thing. ITS SO SLOW. i feel like my naturally aspirated 1.6 set up that was making 140hp was wayyy faster and im hitting like 9-10 pounds of boost. Ive worked on the VE table a good bit and tried to mess with the AE table (i dont get it at all) and the car kinda drives ok but its slow. I feel like for a split second it feels fast and then it gets very sluggish and slow. When i hit the peddle it revs very slow and weakly. Any help and suggestions? I attached my tune down below and a data log of me running to kroger as fast as i can to get some sugar. I hope i attached them right lol. Please help gentlemen! thank you.

You're running out of fuel, my guess is low fuel pressure. Do not tell me if you've just replaced the pump with a bigger one. Just remove it and inspect it, or install a fuel pressure gauge wired to the MS.
Here's the original vs. a quick VE analyze, it's adding a bunch more fuel in the boosted area, but you're already at 90% duty cycle at 10psi. I can't seem to quickly find where your injector size is entered, what injectors are these?

Also, I missed the part where this was a speeduino, but turn on "multiply by ratio of stoich AFR/target AFR (incorporate AFR)". You'll have to retune your fuel table, but that needs retuning anyways.

Ah, you never attached your tune in the previous thread, so I never realized that. Looks like 450cc, which should be good enough for 250hp. Try the attached tune, it has a bunch of little changes that's a lot easier to just execute than explain. Should help it idle and run better, but check that fuel pump first. I should also note, I don't care what fuel pressure it's at while idling, If you attach a cheap little gauge, you better be able to accurately read it at full throttle/full boost. I'm also hoping you've sync'd the timing.

hey man thanks for the help! I got a dumb question I’ll also try to figure out after I get back from my coffee run but how do I upload that tune to tuner studio? I bet I could also find a tutorial online tho. That being said the fuel pump kinda concerns me. It is brand new and it’s not a upgraded one but I know I didn’t need it upgraded, my only fear was a while ago I had a huge problem with the fuel pump and a shorted wire and the mechanic I took it too did a bunch of work in that area so it seems like it’s time to inspect it.

Download the above link, when open and connected, click "file", "load tune", and select the tune I attached above.

Sounds like a great opportunity to upgrade to something with a little more flow. Get at least a 200. With a tunable ECU, there's no reason not to have a stronger pump, unless your car is completely stock and the noise is louder than the exhaust. My guess is that's not the case.

Heres the latest log. I put your new tune in, did a test run, ran it through megalog viewer, then drove it pretty hard and logged it. Still feels incredibly slow. Rev matching is hard because blipping the throttle will give me 1k of rpm. I havent been able to check to fuel pump just yet but i will note that especially during hard pulls i smell gas and my mpgs are even work. Ive burned a half tank of 93 in 85 miles.

I would double check your timing sync with a timing light, and if anyone's refreshed the motor lately, double check mechanical as well. AFRs look much better, but duty cycle is still really high, so I would still replace that pump. It's weird that duty cycle max is always 90.0. Not 91.8, or 88.2, but exactly 90.0 in both the logs you posted. There is a "max duty cycle" setting I saw in your tune, set to 90.0, figured it would throw a CEL if it goes over 90 or something. Maybe set that to 100, see if it continues calculating past 90?

You're also boarding on over heating, that log's average was 205, high of 212. Not sure on your coolant setup or location, but I'd look into that.

Edit: the low power and overheating are both signs your timing is off (super retarded), so again, check your timing.

ok I’ll get the timing light on and make sure it’s set to 10! I haven’t been able to do all the checks just yet I’m helping my brother with his car right now. That over heating is kinda worrisome, but I also don’t have my splash guard and hood on so the cooling might be disrupted right now but I’ll also look into upgrading those. I’ll update you soon!

basically the tune acted up and decided to be very dumb. I can’t remember the name on the top of my mind but the part that you put the engine size and injector size and it calculates the fuel? It was supposed to be 6.1 but was 12.2 so the car was just slamming as much fuel into it as it could. Once I fixed that it boosted nicely
