Default DIY TDR tensioner for supercharger

Hi guys, i'm currently designing a tensioner for my SC build. I know some of you are running you custom tensioners of a similar design to a TDR unit, would somebody be so kind to send me a drawing or a cad file?

Haha, I'm with the others here. Not really designing it if you're copying others. Just copy TDR if that's what you want(or save yourself the hassle and buy their product that is already well engineered). Or just modify a PS delete pulley to work for what you need. That's what I did.

Ok guys, maybe i use a wrong word . I just made in cad inlet and outlet flange for the SC and some lame *** mounting bracket for it. And i just try save some time with the tensioner, because i havent measured dimensions for it. If i want be exact i just want COPY the TDR one because i want send to water cutting all sheets together... Thats all thx for help

No one is going to hand you a ready-to-waterjet file all CAM'd and good to go, and if they had it they'd already be selling the part I imagine

If you know the diameter of the pulleys in the picture on TDRs website you can solve back for the rest of the dimensions relatively easily (hint, ImageJ), especially if most of them don't have very tight tolerances. Then it's just "designing" a way to position the pulley with an adjustment "lead screw" like every other belt driven accessory.

If that sounds like too much effort I suggest you purchase the part you're trying to save $100 on which will absolutely have a large effect on the performance of the supercharger I'll assume you spent more than a couple hundred buying.

ondrapistelka,

I've never read anyone remaking a TDR or Moss adjustable tensioner. In the US, it's probably easier to buy and very few SC owners are DIYers. I *think* very few went to Europe, because M45'ers used the TR Lane kits instead of Moss/Jackson.

Your time is way better spent designing a custom bracket to mount an autotensioner. That's your typical spring-loaded pulley that will apply consistent pressure to the belt, regardless of load, and if the belt stretches over time. There are hundreds of autotensioners of different sizes.

Also, on the very rare chance you have an MP62 Hotside kit, I think FFS already makes a bracket for it, it's just not on his site.

Two examples below. Your experience may differ depending on SC setup (which you haven't disclosed for anyone to really help).
