Get it and enjoy. With your goal $700 is not a bad expense. I have this on my 94 and it makes it enjoyable to drive. Just don't expect a lot. But with the miata a little add on is the best I would think, excessive power makes it scary to drive. I have a friend with a 99 AE turbo 245 HP and I found it not very easy to drive in the street as shifting is very short and feels like it wants to be revved all the time lol.

If you need a 1.8 cross over tube lmk I have an extra one. Good luck.

Default Got it!

Got it for $600, came with a boost controller as well. All I'll need is 1 bracket and probably redo the intake tubing cause it looks kinda tacky.

I'll be bugging y'all about megasquirt3 in a couple of weeks!

Your belt-driven supercharger came with a boost controller? Lucky you!

Yeah, I'm gonna get some reading material on the MS3 and figure out how to get a base tune going, then add the supercharger later, incorporate this JR retard controller later on if needed (or just sell it).

If you have a standalone, why do you need the retarded thing?

Cause I haven't read up enough on MS3 to know the full potential of it, I'm still a noob.

It does everything you'll need to do on a car, PLUS will cure your IBS.

boost controller?

Would that be a euphemism for a leak in the ducting or another pulley? LOL

Nah, though the intake piping is kinda sketchy gonna get better piping done.

Can't find much info on it, but the first item in this thread is it.

You can sell the boost controller (or keep it for your eventual turbo project) and the retard controller. Not needed on a SC car with MS.

That's all timing control, the only thing I saw there that would control (i.e. determine) actual boost was that overlay pulley.

Enjoy, then powdercoat lime green, label 'Hellaflush' on CL, and sell for 1000. be sure to mention the even TQ across the rev band and the exciting sound.

Even a free JRSC is not a "tempting deal" in my eyes. That said, it sounds like you ignored everyone's advice and already bought it, now for the love of god please listen to us and make sure you go MS first or else you will be looking into an engine rebuild pronto.

Everyone's advice isn't what I was looking for, I understand the basic pros and cons of a SC. And yes I am going to be pestering y'all on MS3, so try and be a little more helpful this time around .

I think if you are after 150rwhp then this is perfect for you. Not everyone is after 300hp in a Miata.

I have a setup close to this in my 1.6 na and I love it.

Is it slower than most turbo setups? Yeah most likely.

Does the car go well? Yeah I think it does.

And yes my car is run by the dreaded POWERCARD.....and it runs perfectly.

As I said if 150 rwhp is your goal this setup looks perfect.

Each to there own.
