Default Help identifying a part

I put a WTB add for supercharger parts. I was looking for a bigger crank or smaller pulley. Project G took pictures of something they had but I don't know what it is.

http://forum.miata.net/vb/showthread.ph ... ost6612602

I believe the crank upgrade is a 150mm and stock is 130mm. The stock pulley on the SC is 72mm (I think)

So what could this be!? Is it even a part for a supercharger?

[NA] Crank overlay pulley - MX-5 Miata Forum

Apparently, its an underdrive pulley and not what I need. I need to go up in crank pulley size, not down.

Thanks anyway!

That is a six rib crank pulley. When you go six, you must move the blower forward. The blower is driven on its own belt out in front of the others.

Tom at Fast Forward Superchargers sells a wide range of those six rib crank pulleys. The reason it is smaller is most of his superchargers come with 65mm nose pulleys (I think). He changes the size of the crank pulley, rather than blower pulley to manipulate boost.

I've not seen a M45 with a six rib. That would probably be a lot of fabrication on your end. Hell, I'm converting my MP62 over and that is a bit of a task.

I converted my mp62 moss motors kit to six rib by cutting two more grooves in front of the 4 in my overlay pulley and ordering a 6 rib pulley from pulleyboys.com for the sc. no need to move blower

I stand corrected. Without custom pulleys, you will need to move the blower forward. I'm using fastforward pulleys.

What's your arrangement for a tensioner? I'm assuming there's definitely no AC, or PS.

Got any pics?

no pics with me.
the tensioner is the one that moss motors supplied with their kit. since I don't have a/c or PS I had to make a bracket to hold an idler pulley. I used a chevy truck one.
