Any updated on this kit? Are there any plans to sell a kit with just the essentials such as SC, tensioner, brackets, pulley, belt, etc. so people running turbo kits can switch over and reuse their intercooler, injectors and megasquirt, etc.

Since we are in the business of selling stuff, we won't keep the release of this kit a secret

System is modular so yes when they become available, you can buy whatever combination of components works for you. What we can a TIY (Tune It Yourself)) is just the blower, bracket and oil supply system for the blower, without the I/C, and engine management.

Any chance you can share ballpark pricing for a "TIY" kit? and any revised ETA for kit release.

The more and more I get into tracking my car the less I want to deal with potential turbo headaches. A supercharger sounds like the perfect power level with no lag and less potential issues. (I'm a ***** and don't need 300WHP on the track).

Nope and nope. Again, nothing to be gained by keeping accurate information a secret. When we have solid info, we will publish it.

The truth is there is a long line of turbo guys waiting for the production kits to drop. No denying a well designed and built turbo can nearly match the efficiency and have a broader powerband than a Rotrex, just costs twice as much and is fully DIY. Anyone with basic skills can install the JR kit. Fire and forget wins.

Just an update, I called JR and spoke to them a bit about the kit. They acknowledge it is delayed, and said that they expect to take pre orders in the next month or two to ship in 3-4 months.

If only there were a phone number or an email address you could use to contact the manufacturer...

Just installed my kit, really love the lowend torque, feels like a v12

The inconel hardware was a nice touch.

More like the inline 6 in an E46 M3 but yeah. Those are stainless clamps, not Inconel. That would be cray.

I'd estimate pricing in the $4000 price range.

Emilio
You are using flat top intake manifold
Yet you found Vics manifold to give best broad power on NA.
Do you see an advantage in forced charged application using flat top?
Or was it just convenient part in garage, maybe did not have extra Vics manifold when project started.
Wonder if Vics is best for Rotrex.

I have not tested square top against VICS back to back on a Rotrex car. My guess is the shape of the powerband would be affected about the same way it is N/A.
