I actually just had the original overlay lathed for 3 more ribs (7th rib extra for belt adjustment purposes).

But if you want more overdrive then ring it up. I'd just get a smaller nose. I'm spinning like 14k at redline with my tired psycho coffee grinding 45 lol...

In other words, you're still slow?

I meant add a ring to the 62.5mm s/c pulley to make it wider then machine it (6 rib).

I see you are in Orlando. Eventually I would like to organize a Miatas at the dragstrip, just for kicks and giggles. There are some cars here in Florida that will lay it down.

Oh yea, well if you have junkyards hand, the buick riviera had several different diameter 6-rib nose polleys that are completely interchangeable with the jackson M45 and moss/brp M62. I forgot the measurements off the top of my head but it's actually a much nicer billet pulley than the steel JR stock on and the small one I use is the equivalent to a 10-11 psi setup on an M45 with overlay.

Good idea, thanks

I did the six rib setup. if anyone is trying to do this there is a place called pulleyboys.com and they have the s/c pulleys for whatever charger you have

Did your max psi change any? Your original psi looked a little lower than I've normally seen for your pulley ratio and was wondering if you had any belt slip. Unless you've added some flow mods somewhere?

yes I was getting a LOT of belt slip. so i threw everything out and have just the s/c and crank pulley with an autotensioner in between them. it looks like its makin over 17 lbs now.

I'm thinking about doing this, as it seems relatively straightforward. Almost like the overlay pulley was designed for 6 ribs, and they just aren't machined. BUT, I still have power steering, and would like to keep it. Does someone make a 6 rib power steering pulley?
