Default 195/50/15 225/40/16 Toyo T1R side by side

Just wanted to post side by side pics of 195/50/15 and 225/40/16 Toyo T1R tires.

I had searched for comparison pics while I was tire shopping, to no avail.
So, here's my public service for anyone who would like to have visual input before making a decision on tire sizes.

I repeated the keywords in the title and and the first post on purpose for search purposes.

As you can see from the pictures, the 225/40/16 is not that much wider than stock.

There are no fitment and/or rubbing issues whatsoever.

The wheels I use have a 40mm offset, btw.

For random reference: here are the stock NA 14s vs 205/50r15 nittos.

What size are the wheels each tire is mounted on?

The 15" tire is mounted on the stock 15x6 wheel.
The other one is a 16x7, with a 40mm offset.

Maybe this will turn into a "post pics of random tire sizes" thread, ha.

Stock 185/60/14 vs Toyo R1R 225/45/15

How much would this be changed by the use of a 7.5 or 8 inch width wheel?

Reviving an old thread here, but the T1Rs that were the subject matter of this thread are gone now...

I went with KU36 Ectsa semi slicks.

215/45R 16

And, here is a side by side comparison of the 225/40R 16 T1Rs and the new tires.

These tires have incredible reviews, and they have an amazing grip.
