Default Bedding in my new XP8s

I've read the threads how, why, do it or you'll die, etc. But...

Where?!

I have a track day on Monday, and even doing it in an hpde group probably isn't a good idea, not to mention I need to drive the car to the track, anyway. I'm in a suburban area, so probably not in the neighborhood. I could do it on the highway, but going from 60-5 may not be a good idea.

Any thoughts?

I couldn't get my 12's bedded on the street. I thought I did, but my first track session suggested otherwise.

I did mine on the highway late at night when no traffic was around.

call the local PD and ask them where you can do it

or

if you can do it in a company parking lot with a note from that company...

The highway is probably your best bet. You need to be able to keep a decent speed so there is constant airflow to them. This is why Carbotech says to break them in on the track because car is constantly moving at speed and allows air to keep hitting them.

Ask the track if you can go out a few laps to bed them before your session.
