best bang for $$$?

ok before you go off about how i haven't searched. well i haven't. ok well i kind of did but not enough to find my answers. i dont have much time now to search. go too much going on.

i was looking at the eibach 1+2+3 kit. the sport kit plus suspension.
comes with dampers, lowering, and anti. which im sure you know. i found it in 1 min so im sure you guys know all about it.

i was looking at that kit or just getting coilovers.

i know they are in 2 different price categories but do you think coilovers is that much better then the kit? i was looking at stance coils. not sure which i like from them.

i just want to turn going 50. i don't want to spend too much because i want to start on my 240sx build but i wouldn't mind spending on the coils or the kit.

thank you for any help.

I think the best bang for the buck is the Xida because although they are more expensive than most, they make a lot of bang. The jump in smile or fun factor from Tein Flex to my AST5100's is bigger than the jump from stock to the Flex.

If you're looking at actual $ VS performance, my vote goes to SD revalved bilstiens with sleeves and QA1 springs all around. Add some NB tops and you have a pretty badass suspension for under $1000.

Well lucky that our time is less valuable than yours.

WTF does that even mean? Making a long sweeping turn on the highway @ 50mph is quite different than wanting to hit an off-camber switchback downhill @ 50mph.

Most people here are very helpful if you put a little effort into your posts.

Jennifer Richardson, Wichita, Kansas. Hands down.

WTF are you Googling shit for? Use the "search" button in this forum and enter the words "suspension hierarchy" and you will have more information than you will need.

thanks guys your the best.

Lowering kits are compromises for real suspension and any coil over kit that sounds like it makes your car look good like "Stance" is probably only good when the car is not moving. real suspension costs real money. There is a huge thread about this I think is called suspension hierarchy. Search for that.

Also, learn to spell. Your and you're are not the same thing

tom550 06-06-2011 11:56 AM

yea im going to have to take the time to go over that.

im leaning more to putting money in my 240. the money i would spend getting the suspension i would like for the miata could get me at least 1/3 way with my build. my mind keeps jumping around about what to do.

spitefulcheerio 06-06-2011 11:57 AM

miatas > toofordeeznuts

Every wannabe drifter in the world has a 240. The miata is a far better platform than a 240 for drifting, autox and road racing.

ftfy.

There's a reason the 240 is known as the cheater chassis.

y8s 06-06-2011 12:47 PM

drift an e30. so much caster.

SD=stewart dev?

Other option is koni sports+ebay sleeves. The kit springs are ~550lbs, find some 350lb rear springs and you have a complete single adjustable package for ~600.
