Default Bilstein rebound discussion...

http://www.lgmotorsports.com/catalog...roducts_id=272

The above link contains a dyno chart for LG Corvette Bilstein race coilovers. The graph looks similar to a NA Bilstein graph(which was tested on the Nurburgring). The compression is soft and the rebound starts soft and climbs in what looks to be a linear manner. Why are Bilstein race dampers tuned in this manner?

They don't look particularly odd to me, though they're damped quite a bit softer than I would have expected. Am I missing something obvious?

Couple observations:

compression is soft-similar to a out of the box NA Bilstein
rebound doesn't look to me to be digressive-again similar in shape to a NA Bilstein

Is there a reason that Bilstein valves in this manner for race application vs the more quick high rebound knee point at around 2 seconds? And yes, they seem quite soft on the rebound overall.
