Default Brake pad recommendation

1800lb, 120whp car used for autocross and HPDE. I usually run take off R-comps (SM 205-50 throw away HoHos) on 8" wheels. I upgraded to a Goodwin V4 BBK with wilwood E compound front. Reason for upgrade was weight reduction and easier maintenance moreso than increase in stopping ability. 11" factory sport brakes rear. My first Miata with a proper BBK, so I don't know what pads to put in the back. I don't care about dust or noise, but would prefer to be gentle on rotors if possible. Recommendations?

Have you run the E compound on the track yet? Good pairing with that compound is a porterfield R4S - similar torque and peak temp, with more stable friction rise than the Hawk HPS - that E/R4S combo would do great for street/autox. However, for autox/HPDE with old hohos, you'll likely want more pad than that (more friction and more heat tolerance).

I ran a turbo Exocet that had Wilwoods at all corners with the E compound pads, and it was pretty epic. Have not ran my car yet, just hung the calipers yesterday. Car is currently 1800lbs but on a diet to 1500-ish (Exocet Race chassis on order).

Will have to meet up and put the exocet up against the eliminator - I'll likely be building one now after this weekend.
