Default Carbotech XP8

I'm running XP8s front and rear. Bedded in correctly with new rotors. My issue is they are extremely grabby - even cold - all I need to do is just brush the brake pedal to slow the car, can't get anywhere near what I'd consider normal brake pressure and it'll lock the fronts. I'm thinking I've got a master or brake proportioning valve issue maybe ? Has anyone else had this sort of issue?

Back in the day I ran 10/8 on my dual duty NB8A, not 8/8 but I'd expect the 10s to more grabby and in that combination I never had a moment's regret. More recently I was running 12/10 on the (MSM), they were grabby and sometimes noisy but I had the habit of brushing them every so often to keep a little heat in them. I am now back to 10/10, will go 10/8 when the rears need replacing.

If your brakes were working ok before you went to the Carbotechs, they are still working ok mechanically, but your description does not ring true to my experience. Any particular circumstances that might be contributing.to the problem?

BTW, took you long enough to make your first post, have a cat anyway

Now go and introduce yourself properly!

I ran XP8s front and rear when I first started HPDE. At that time I did not have a prop valve. When the fronts were worn to the backing plates, the rears looked new.

Just FYI.
