Default Change to BBK

I have a BBK that won't work with my wheels. I want to upgrade and am looking to just modify what I have. Haven't found anything about this posted previously so here I am. Current kit has 12" rotors with Wilwood Dynapro 4 piston radial mount calipers. They won't work with my 15 X 8 Konig Flatouts, I think if I go to an 11" rotor I can make it work. Any thoughts on if I can get new rotors and caliper brackets, or am I better off just getting a new kit? I don't see anything on Wilwood's site for different mounting brackets.

What wheels did you have before? Wilwood just makes the calipers, a number of vendors make a 11.75” bracket/rotor kit that work with Wilwoods, can you clarify what you have now?

im not a fan of Wilwood calipers, I would suggest stoptech’s 11” kit, fits nearly all 15” wheels with a much stiff caliper and same pad selection, then you can sell your kit complete.

I tried the Flatouts that Pdexta was selling at MATG and they didn't fit over my V8R 11.75 kit with Dynalites. They would have probably fit over 11.00 judging by how close they were to working.

Goodwin makes an 11in kit using Wilwoods so I would check with them if they sell compatible brackets and then you could get rotors and hats from them as well.

Or switch wheels.

Or sell and replace entire kit rather than having all the expensive 12in hardware go to complete waste in a box somewhere. Nobody wants an incomplete kit.

Thanks for that. Wheels haven't changed, I'm running Konig Flatouts in 15 X 8. They fit over the brakes until I got within the last inch or so of the face, the wheel barrels have a smaller diameter at that point which hung things up.

Thanks for the info on the Flatouts. I like these wheels too much to switch, haven't seen anything out there now that appeals. Looks like I'll be trying to sell the kit, wanted to do that while at MATG but no interest on here and I didn't feel like lugging it all the way there on the off-chance I could get someone to buy it.
