2002 3.9 Torsen

I will get:
-ABS 1 piece axles (2)
-Diff w/ carrier
-Driveshaft

1) Will this fit fine on a 1.6? I read a post from Hustler:
"I don't know if the spline diameter issue is discussed anywhere, but the ones from the '00 swap car, which I pulled out of a rear subframe did not fit the 1.6 hubs because the spline teeth were too tall."

2) I don't have ABS. These axles WILL have ABS. Any problems w/ this?

2002 6 Speed Trans

I will get:
-Tranny
-Tranny plate
-Shifter

1) Have I overlooked any parts for the tranny swap? Anything for speedometer correction needed?

 

You'll need a speedo gear, a 4:10 speedo gear will be most accurate with the 3.9s. Dead on up to around 100mph. I've never heard of '02 axles not fitting in 1.6 uprights. Push comes to shove, you source earlier axles.

 

Any idea about getting the ABS axles, although I don't have ABS?

 

They'll just have the teeth around the edge, no biggie. IIRC the axles in my non-ABS car are ABS axles.

I put 3.9 torsen in my 92 miata (came stock with 4:30).
You need shaft and axles. nothing else. Everything fits.
I always thought ABS teeth and sensors are located on the hub
