I'm not an expect on the getrags, but have heard that their behavior is closer to the Giken than the Torsen, and very well suited to track use. They don't work with one wheel in the air though, just like a Torsen.

When you spin the pinion gear on the Getrag unit, both wheels spin while in the air like a typical posi does.
When you do the same to the MSM Torsen, I'm pretty sure it doesn't having the same behavior. I don't remember if it spun one or neither.
I'm not a super skilled driver, but I could barely feel the difference on the AutoX course this past weekend on a shitty *** rough asphalt course.
But like others mentioned, the gearing was the reason I did this. With my rev limit set at 7400, I never ran out of RPMs in second throughout the "Corvette" group's big course.
