Yeah, I started realizing this too.
It's exciting for about 30 seconds with a 10 minute lull.

There is so much girly hate here its hilarious. If anyone can seriously say they don't have fun drifting you might want to question your manhood and think about the real reason you are driving a car.. especially a miata! I love all forms of racing and drifting has got to be one of the most enjoyable forms of "racing" and yes I said racing so deal with it. So you say its figure skating? So then go enter your miata into a real mans sport.. Its called Rally
BTW Rapper Dan was killing it at the last FD

My drifting story.

I had a 1-2 hours of seat time when my car went boom last year. Low oil on a banked circle track... Wasn't even drifting. I was hot lapping!

This is the night I started drifting. A cop was watching us but never interrupted. Probably wanted to see me hit this building.

A few months after that I bought Forza and a wheel. Learned the motions in the game.

My car is running! Time to have some fun with my talented friends. This picture is from FD PBIR. Grinning because my left hand placement lol.

Indeed. But again, besides that one noob a couple posts back, who ever said it was? Racing is fastest way from point A to B, or around a somewhat circular track.

Drifting is not, and never claimed to be anything of the sort.

I opened a drift thread only to find 5 pages of bashing, what a surprise! Here's my take on it. If you want to drift your car into a wall, go ahead. I'll gladly watch and be entertained by it. It's not something I'm going to personally do, but why bash it so much? You guys are like driftaphobic or something. Yes I know that's not a word.

I wouldn't say that I'm "driftaphobic" at all. I had fun and learned alot when I participated. If I had tons of money I definitely would have a drift car in my garage. For me it's about cost, not just money but time. I basically lived at the shop when I drifted, something that doesn't sit well with the wife at all.

for me its the retards that are associated with drifting that make me hate it.

honestly, I can appreciate the pro's that do it, but the emo wannabe hard parkers that swing their gay ziptie and sticker bombed cars around the local wal-mart parking lot then go on a forum and defend it like they know something make me sick.
