I should have ordered a second set now that I'm stuck running this size (smallest width with accurate Miata circumference) until I can afford different wheels (and their respective tires.

I love these tires. The limits of the car are now well past my cajones. Also not as slick as I thought they might be in cold weather, but I didn't get out in the freezing junk last week (took OTM).

At least the treadwear has been very slight so they may last until I can catch another deal.

They've had them in and out a couple times that I've seen. Price has shot back up though.

The best semi miata size deal I see now is for 17's. 215/40/17 Avon 500's for $53.

I bought a set of 205/50/15 Nitto Neo Gens to use as my DD tires from Onlinetires for $54 each with shipping around $25 for the set. Just arrived today. If I'd found some 16" wheels cheap I'd have been all over those SPT's. Never could find a set I liked.

Not agressive enough compound for me personally. But good price.

Wow good deal. This year the Turbo will go in and has cost me enough where I don't want to buy new 15" wheels and tires so I may just put these on the stock 16" SE wheels.

2 problems: shipping to Canada and my 2002 SE wheel is a whopping 18lbs.

How bad will a 10psi GT2560 eat through old house brand 205/55/16's that the previous owner put on there? Will it be like a skating rink in the rear?

How do you like those? They are still $52.75 apiece at onlinetires.com. I was trying to find some good summer tires but at that price I'd be happy with all season UHP's. It'll be a massive upgrade over my 14" Le Mans tires with who knows how many miles either way.

EDIT:

Nevermind, they are quoting me $50 for Fedex ground shipping...that kills the price.

Any other good deals on 205/50/15's out there?

Here they are on a 16x8. I haven't gotten to test them yet cause I'm building the motor but they fit nice on a 8" wheel IMO
