How to remove a fux0red nut
Seriously, tell me. I figured it was about time to swap out the 4x4 NB springs on the 91 miata. Every nut and bolt came off with ease, except for the drivers side topmount one.
I spent the last hour chiseling away at it. Won't budge. I wasn't planning on torching it since it's 3 inches away from the gastank.
No room for drill, I have no welding equipment here, no cutting disks for a dremel and shops are closed.
Except for setting this ************ on fire, what do?

, saved my life when all the nuts for the turbo on the subie rounded out with 6 point sockets. I bought this set for my dad for christmas. They're like an ez-out, but external. SO when you spin them to loosen they cut into the nut. They're 3/8 drive though and I sheared off a HF tools 3/8 extension with them, But they have a hex on the outside for a socket or wrench so you can put a big socket over it with a 1/2" drive if you need some real ******* leverage.

yip i am with leafy on this one - otherwise a dremel with a small cutting wheel and keep cutting the nut away until you can hammer it off in pieces - but you will probably be working almost blind in that hole

I've never used one, but maybe there's enough room for one of these to work:

Still no dice. Figured I'd swap the other spring back, can't get the nut off that I put on yesterday. Socket must've slipped when tightening it. So I'm now stuck with mismatched rear springs and 2 nuts that are effectively a perfect circle. Wonder if there's any room for a
I am seriously contemplating setting it on fire and getting a non-POS with the insurance money. ****!
