Riding on lowering springs is EXACTLY like riding on your bump stops all day long! The lowered spring must be firmer, thus it HARDLY MOVES - ie you have ZERO suspension travel -- a go kart that is only safe/fun on the track... admit it, you ***** out on all the turns in your slamed rice-miata dont you. I do to everytime I drive the blue one (notice I OWN a LOWERED miata! DUHH I KNOW THE DIFFERENCE!! I HAVE TWO!)
Low center of gravity, stiff springs, correctly valved shocks and sticky tires = faster. Soft springs, shitty worn out shocks, progressive bump stops and terrible all-season tires = not really fast, AT ALL!

Yes, because body roll is preferred over actually TURNING! Explain why all motor sports besides truck racing and monster truck racing uses lowered, stiffer spring vehicles? I'm curious to see what you will come up with.

Stop talking about add on gadgets and start talking about SKILLS! i have answered your moon-bat question already - in RACING suspension is comprimised due to this magical looooong unrealisting engineered road with no imperfections called A RACE TRACK. In the REAL WORLD (ie roads....ROADster...) the suspension MUST TRAVEL MORE!

Listen to me: the beauty of the stock miata is that it is ALREADY LOWERED with a HUGE ammount of suspension travel - that means its a low car with plenty of 'breathing room' -- lowering kills this breathing room thus you modded idiots cant push a turn in real life!
You act like mazda made a mistake making all that suspention travel and wheel well gap! Thats there for a REASON! So you can push the car to its unbelievably good limits. Take away that travel and you get a car thats ONLY good for track and autocross -- ironic now isint it!!!
