I bought my car ton tinker/mess with it. And by that I mean try different shit and do stuff I wouldn't do with an expensive car and not worry about shit. Its a miata for goodness sake.
Do you track your car? No.
Is it fast? No
What do you do with it? Drive it around town slower than a slug on sedatives. Why wouldn't these coilovers work for you? Or would you just rather dream about shit for 10 years while everyone buys, mods, sells their miata's the whole time posting on the internet how you "will do this and do that" with expensive baller parts.

No offense man, I'd rather be called a ricer on the forums than drive a stock height/stock engine miata.

/threadjack:D

Easy now, you're cutting deep. :giggle: Not sure if that was directed at me or just in general. My shit isn't stock height, but it sure is slow. I do talk big about future plans. I plan to follow through though.

18psi 02-09-2010 11:08 PM

Not as much at you as in general. I'm not in the mood to flame anyone today:)

I'm just saying: these are better than nothing and better than stock for 200. You want a ferrari you spend 200,000. You want a scion you spend 10. Each will not blow up and get the job done, just differently lol

If mine blow up or break, I promise I will be the FIRST asshole on here talking shit about them:giggle:

magnamx-5 02-09-2010 11:14 PM

hmm i might just try these on the ebay car lol thats a good name for it a whole car bought on ebay and everything but the MS comeing of ebay what 18 psi decsribes is exactly what the owner wants cheap but works.

18psi 02-09-2010 11:19 PM

Do it man, we need more OG's to test this shit:)

The way I see it, It's sort of like toilet paper. In stock form it's just a tree, and in mildly upgraded form it's a stiff piece of paper that rips your anus up and just spreads the shit around. The really expensive stuff is awesome but if you use too much it clogs your toilet. The sweet spot is the one in the middle that feels good and has kittehs on the front.

I too had doubt about Raceland coilovers so I spent three days reading everything I could find on the web about them. then I contacted my mechanic at H1 Performance to review all my info before I decided to buy a set. Eladio was very impressed with the coilovers, they looked well built and installed easily. He aligned my car and set it up for my upcoming autocross event on Toyo 888's. Sue loved the set up and was not only the fastest lady driver but came in only 1/2 a second behind the fastest Corvette in our class SSM. We now have the car set up for a 3 mile road course on Hoosier R6's. So far we love the new coilovers and have had no problems with them. But our car is for racing only so it has no street time. One note..When I gave these to Eladio I told him if he thought they were junk then throw them away and put on a known brand set, so far has has recommended them to two of his other customers. I too am one who believes you get what you pay for so maybe the other folks are paying to much.

UofH?

Braineack 02-10-2010 04:40 PM

someone just needs to get them on a shock dyno, then everyone can stop bench racing.

LOL at the thought. If they dyno well, they won't last long!

j/k. Just sayin that it won't end the argument. I know one thing, I'd like to be the guy selling them right now. I'll bet he's making some money with them.

gospeed81 02-10-2010 04:47 PM

I'm seriously considering trying them...just for shits and giggles before I splurge on an FCM setup.

I hate chasing the suspension holy grail...I'm about to give up and just put my car back at 14" and do the damn speed limit.
